During the Cannes or Toronto area TIFF, actor James McAvoy, known for his role in the film franchise and for directing his new film, was suddenly attacked by an unknown person at the Charlotte’s Room bar. According to witnesses, the incident occurred around 11:55 p.m., when an intoxicated man hit McAvoy from behind. The scene served as a reason for de-escalation, and the establishment quickly removed the offender, after which McAvoy continued the evening with the producers and crew of the film “California Schemin’”.
