{"id":1225,"date":"2026-05-14T14:09:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T14:09:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mollidicac.com\/?p=1225"},"modified":"2026-05-14T14:09:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T14:09:08","slug":"the-cheap-seats-co-host-drops-f-bomb-in-interview-with-pm-anthony-albanese","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mollidicac.com\/?p=1225","title":{"rendered":"The Cheap Seats co-host drops F-bomb in interview with PM Anthony Albanese"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 font-serif text-article-body\"><em>The Cheap Seats<\/em>\u00a0co-host Melanie Bracewell has dropped an F-bomb during a live interview with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 font-serif text-article-body\">Shortly after the PM signed her citizenship papers at the end of a light-hearted segment, the New Zealand comedian and actor lost her lapel microphone and let rip with the F-bomb on live TV on the high-rating Network Ten program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 font-serif text-article-body\">Albanese took the misstep in his stride, shortly after notifying Bracewell that the citizenship program had been successful, making her the 4001st Kiwi to become an Australian citizen due to improved visa changes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 font-serif text-article-body\">\u201cWe might even get a decent rugby side out of it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 font-serif text-article-body\">An embarrassed Bracewell immediately apologised for the slip, as her co-host Tim McDonald joked to Albanese as he handed him back the citizenship application: \u2018\u2018Feel free to write \u2018denied\u2019 on that. That might be a bit more appropriate.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 font-serif text-article-body\">But an amused Albanese showed his sense of humour when he quipped: \u2018\u2018If we denied Australian citizenship to those who said that word, we\u2019d really struggle.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 font-serif text-article-body\">It came after an informal chat with the Prime Minister about his planned trip to the White House next month for talks with US President Joe Biden, pasta on election night with Foreign Minister Penny Wong and being starstruck by Matildas captain Sam Kerr.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 font-serif text-article-body\">The interview also covered the one-upmanship of a G20 leaders\u2019 WhatsApp group, meeting the King, and Albanese\u2019s life-threatening car accident that convinced partner Jodie Haydon he was the one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Cheap Seats\u00a0co-host Melanie Bracewell has dropped an F-bomb during a live interview with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Tuesday night.
