During experiments on board a spacecraft, researchers observed unusual behavior of crystalline structures under microgravity. Compared to Earth conditions, the samples showed a slower but structurally more perfect formation of the crystal lattice. These observations help to better understand the effect of gravity on crystallization processes and possible applications in materials science.
